MONTHLY CLERGY RECOLLECTION

There   will   be   Monthly   Clergy   Recollection   from Monday, 15 April, to Wednesday, 17 April 2024, at the    Archdiocesan Pastoral Centre, K.L. There will be no morning Masses on these three days. Father George will offer all mass intentions during the recollection.

 

PPC/PCC MEETING

There will be combined PPC and PCC meeting to be held on Tuesday, 23 April 2024, at 8.00 pm in St Giles' room.  A  few  agendas  need  to  be  discussed  and finalised during the meeting. All respective members must be present. Thank you.

 

LENTEN COIN BOX

During the Lenten season, all catechism children were given coin boxes to make little sacrifice by saving coins for the less fortunate children living around the world. Please return the coin boxes to your respective catechism teachers by Sunday, 21 April 2024.

 

CATECHETICAL SKILLS WORKSHOP

The Archdiocese Catechetical Team of Kuala Lumpur will hold a catechetical skills workshop for the Pahang/Terengganu District on Saturday, 20 April 2024, from 8.00 am to 5.30 pm. Attendance is  mandatory for all catechism teachers.

 

FORMATION: PREPARING FOR PENTECOST

Formation sessions will be held for Tamil and Chinese  speaking groups on specific dates to prepare our hearts and minds for Pentecost. The theme of the  formation is "MINISTERING IN THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT".

 

1) Tamil Formation will be held on Saturday, 27 April  2024, from 9.30 am to 12.00 noon, followed by lunch. There will be adoration with the Blessed Sacrament.

2) Mandarin Formation will be held on Sunday, 12 May 2024 (the Seventh Sunday of Easter) from 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm.

 

Note: All the respective groups are encouraged to  attend and not miss out on this wonderful opportunity to gather and rejoice in the spirit of Pentecost.

 

SSVP AGM

The Society of St Vincent de Paul will hold an AGM on 28 April 2024 at 12 noon at SVP Centre, St Thomas Church, Kuantan.  All are welcome.

 

VOLUNTEERS  ARE REQUIRED

The Liturgical Team seeks volunteers as Lectors, musicians, choir members and other roles to enhance the ministry. Appropriate training will be provided. If you are interested, please contact Ms Christina Alex at 017- 920 5820 and Ms Venessa Alberto at 019-980 3998.

Kindly take note that the Parish office will be closed on Wednesday, 10 April and Thursday, 11 April 2024 – Hari Raya (Public Holiday).

GUIDELINES CONCERNING THE ATTENDANCE AT MASS IN CHURCH 
Face Mask: We encourage Parishioners to wear face masks. However, using a face mask is strongly encouraged for persons who may be vulnerable to the Coronavirus and those with flu-like symptoms.

Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion:

  • Holy Communion will continue to be given on the hand.

  • Holy Communion ministers are strongly encouraged to wear face masks while distributing the Holy Eucharist to the recipients, just to safe guard the elderly, vulnerable and congregation.

ST. THOMAS ADORATION ROOM
The Adoration Room (next to the Parish Office) is open from Monday to Saturday (7.00 am to 9.00 pm) and Sunday (7.00 am to 1.00 pm).

KINDLY ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING RULES WHILST IN THE ADORATION ROOM:

  • Remove your shoes before entering the room.

  • Maintain silence and reverence at all times.

  • Genuflect at the Blessed Sacrament when entering the room.

  • Do not touch the Tabernacle or Blessed Sacrament.

  • Do not move fixtures in the room or take home any prayer books or prayer cards.

  • Pray in silence and respect others.

  • No phone, food or drinks are allowed.
