On Saturday, 8 July 2023, approximately 30 Indonesian migrants who work in the oil palm plantations of Sri Jaya (located 90 kms from Kuantan town) arrived at the Church of St. Thomas, Kuantan. They will attend the Confirmation Mass at the Church on Sunday. Among them, seven individuals will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.
We arranged transportation for all of them so they could attend the Mass. They spent a night at the Parish residence. We had recollection and adoration, which included the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, scripture reflection, praise and worship, and recitation of the Rosary that started at 9:30 pm and ended at 11:30 pm which was led by an Asli Catechist, Julie from Kg Tekir (NS). The celebration ended with individuals receiving a blessing from the Blessed Sacrament.
